My clients are teens and young adults and their families, when possible. Currently my clinical hours are limited to 9-2 Monday-Thursday.
The modes of treatment I offer are:
My treatment approach is informed by a range of theoretical orientations, most heavily of which are: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic and Existential approaches, and arts therapy, spiritual, and mindfulness modalities.
Our first few sessions will involve an intake with you and your teen (if applicable). We will discuss your relevant medical history, presenting concerns, and goals for treatment. By the end of this assessment, we will be able to establish a treatment plan, indicators to mark progress, and a general timeline for our work together.
I am in-network with BCBS and NC State Health Plan. You may have a deductible or copay depending on your policy, and it's best to check prior to keeping an appointment. Self-pay and out-of-network costs are $170 for an intake and $150 for 50-minute therapy appointments. You may use HSA cards to pay for services as well as check, cash and credit cards.
For individuals seeking hormone replacement therapy (HRT), also called Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy (GAHT), and gender-affirming surgery, I offer assessment appointments as well as psychotherapy appointments for support during transition. For assessments, I utilize the Gender ASSET model of informed consent. I am happy to provide individual and family therapy as well during this time.
